Dendrobium Sa Nook, puikkokämmekkä 

9.11.2012: "Two Dutch Dendrobium growers, Rico Fransen of Fransen Orchids and Jos Scheffers of nursery Zeurniet, created their own brand: Sa-nook. Last week, during the 2013 FloraHolland Trade Fair it was introduced to exporters and wholesalers. Sa-nook is a word that is often used in Thailand. It stands for everything that is connected to fun and joy. The Sa-nook varieties have been specially selected and developed for good growing ability in Europe, a long lifespan and an easy (re)flowering in the living room."

Paphiopedilum Maudiae Femma , venuksenkenkä


8.11.2012: "On the last week held FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer (Netherlands) one of the Hot Spots for novelties was reserved for Paphiopedilum maudiae Femma. “Not only the flowers are special, but also the leaves are really attractive”, emphasise Elsbeth Prins of Dutch nursery P.P. Orchideeën. The new Paphiopedilum should have a shelf life of ten to twelve weeks. The plant has already proven itself at the in June held HTA National Plant Show in England. On this show Femma brought home the silver award in the category houseplants."

P. Maudiaen risteymävanhempina on käytetty sekä Paphiopedilum callosumin että P. lawrenceanumin albinomuotoja. Paphiopedilum callosumin kasvualuetta on Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam ja Malesian niemimaa 300–1 300 metrin korkeudella, jossa on läpi vuoden lämmintä ja kosteaa, mutta talvella selvästi kuivempaa. Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum kasvaa Borneon lämmössä 300–500 metrin korkeudella.
